Solar Energy Permitting and Program Resources
The BLM will conduct inspections of operations for all solar energy development on the public lands.
The right-of-way (ROW) holder shall perform all operations in a good and workmanlike manner, consistent with the approved Plan of Development (POD), so as to ensure protection of the environment and the health and safety of the public. To ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the ROW authorization (grant or lease) and to ensure that operations are conducted consistent with those terms and conditions, the BLM authorized officer will conduct inspections of such operations and can issue notices of violations. The authorized officer may also order an immediate temporary suspension of operations, orally or in writing, in accordance with 43 CFR 2807.16, to protect public health or safety or the environment.
