Solar Energy Permitting and Program Resources
Leaseholders must start construction within 5 years and begin generation of electricity no later than 7 years from the date of lease issuance, as specified in the approved plan of development. A request for an extension may be granted for up to 3 years with a show of good cause and approval by the BLM.
