BLM Selects the Successful Bidder

The bidder with the highest total bid, prior to any variable offset, is the successful bidder and will be offered a right-of-way (ROW) lease. Successful bidders must:

  • By close of business hours on the day of the offer, pay the minimum bid (administrative costs and amount determined by authorized officer) plus 20% of the bonus bid (before offsets are applied);
  • Within 15 calendar days after the offer, pay the balance of the bonus bid to the BLM office conducting the offer; and
  • Within 15 calendar days after the offer, pay the acreage rent for the first full year of the lease (as per 43 CFR 2806.54(a)).
